How to open Finance file

can u please help, how to open cash and the City data file in android phone app

I've tried this via One Drive. If I click on the actual file, Cash in the City does not come up as an option. The android version of Cash does not open a file selection window at the bottom to choose a file. This problem has persisted through several years, 2 phones and various versions of Android.

I would not like to use the online methods you have outlined.

Is is possible to copy the .catc file from the laptop to the Android device and it tothen read it with the Andriod version of Cash and the City?

If so, what subdirectory on the Android device do I copy it to? Does it have to have a specific name?

Please let me know if this can be done.

Hello,
Sorry for delay.

You can copy your .catc file to your Android device as you like.
It does not matter what directory you place the file into.
When you copied your file use "Open..." menu item in the bottom menu:
CATC_Android_OpenMenu.png
then browse and choose your file:
CATC_Android_Browse.png

Hello,
It depends on certain Android phone you use.
As I remember some phones requires long tap on the right (or maybe left) button on the bottom navigation bar.
What phone do you use?

Have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G and unable to get the menu you are showing to pop up anywhere.

Haven't been able to use Android version for over a year.

It seems that it won't work on phones with Android 10 and higher:

The new version of Cash and the City for Android will fix it. It will take some time.
